Gururaj Mutalik, M.D., FAMS

Gururaj Mutalik, MD, FAMS, is the founder and director of Infomyst Transcription Technology LLC, an information technology firm. After a distinguished career in medicine in India, including serving as the founder secretary of the Indian Association of Human Genetics, Dr. Mutalik served as a director of the World Health Organization (WHO) in various countries and subsequently as the Director of the WHO office in New York attached to the United Nations. After his retirement from WHO in 1999 he worked as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), a Boston based international organization of physicians. IPPNW was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985 for its technical contributions and public advocacy of the dangers of nuclear war and is a still a major voice for a nuclear weapon free world and international peace and understanding.
