Carol Ross

Carol Ross has taught Latin in secondary schools in the Boston and New Haven areas for over 30 years. She is currently an instructor in Latin poetry and rhetoric at Choate Rosemary Hall where her students have benefited from her clarity, her organizational skills, and her encouraging style. A member of the American Classical League and the American Numismatic Society, she has been named for many years in ‘Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers’. In addition to teaching, she has served on numerous civic non-profit boards and is currently immediate past President of the Center for Independent Study, President of the Board of Neighborhood Music School in New Haven, CT, a trustee of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts, and a member of the President’s advisory council at Wheaton College. Additionally, she has been involved in major fund-raising campaigns for Planned Parenthood of CT, the New Haven Colony Historical Society, and Neighborhood Music School.
