  
                     Warner Vincent Slack 
                    Warner Vincent Slack is the Co-Chief, Division 
                      of Clinical Computing, Department of Medicine, Beth Israel 
                      Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He also serves as Professor 
                      of Medicine, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Slack is one of 
                      the 50 Founding Fellows (chosen by peers) of the American 
                      College of Medical Informatics. His awards include the Morris 
                      F. Collen Award for Excellence from the American College 
                      of Medical Informatics in 2001 and the Outstanding Contributions 
                      to Society Award, Princeton University Class of 1995. His 
                      work related to “patient power” including the 
                      1997 book, Cybermedicine: How Computing Empowers Doctors 
                      and Patients for Better Health Care, is internationally 
                      recognized.
